Synopsis

Mary is a true story about a boy and his horse on an Australian cattle station. Forced to complete an impossible task, Peter must reconcile the blood and dust with the all-consuming majesty of the Australian environment.

Director’s Bio

Aaron Lucas is a Jewish, German- Australian writer and director, living between Sydney and Berlin. He has directed short films Free Therapy (2019), Mary (2024) and music videos for Born Mild and Flight to Dubai. His independent pilot Privileged won best comedy at SeriesFest and Stareable LA. His animated documentary I'll Be Frank claimed First Prize ‘Hearst Minds Soul Award’ at Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival. More recently, he was selected for TIFF's Filmmaker Lab and TIFF’s Writers Studio with Luna, his debut feature film in development.
